Breakfast – Most important meal of the day.

Honey Bunches of Oats from PostIn the past, I have never been a big breakfast person.  In high school I needed to work on my hair rather than eat, college I was recovering from the night before and as an adult I never put too much importance into the meal.  It hasn’t been until the last few years that I have really focused on eating breakfast.

Our family has routine every morning.  The kids wake up and start getting ready for school and I groggily make coffee and breakfast.  We then congregate at the breakfast table to eat, read the Bible and discuss the upcoming day.  It’s a good routine and it ensures that everyone is eating before the day truly gets into gear and it is fantastic for my metabolism. (as long as it isn’t loaded with sugar and fat)  Our breakfast usually includes a big plate of fruit and a bowl of cereal for everyone.

Post offered the opportunity to included Honey Bunches of Oats we decided to give it a shot.  I can honestly say we have never had Honey Bunches of Oats.  My kids are big fans of cereals with flakes.  Well, it was big hit.  They loved the taste and with 6 grams sugar and no high fructose corn syrup I was a happy mom.
