As summer steadily approaches I feel the need to get a little healthier and tighter. Work out videos with Jillian Michaels have begun and a regimented diet has followed. Inches are starting to decrease and there seems to be a little bump on my bicep that I can only assume (or hope) is a muscle.
In order to keep my crazy bread cravings at bay I concocted a Green Smoothie recipe that has powerful punch and tastes pretty good too. Plus, when strangers see you drinking a green smoothie they think “Wow, she is super healthy. I bet she works out too. I can see a bump on her arm.”
Green Smoothie Goodness:
**Here is a tip: Use frozen fruit for a nice thick consistency. Fresh fruit will give it a more juice like quality. I like it thick.
Step 1: Put all the ingredients into your blender or cup.
I used about 5 strawberries, 5 mangos pieces, and 1/2 cup of Kale
1.5 tbsp of Chia seeds
1/2 cup Orange Juice
Step 2: Squish in the banana. You would be surprised just how bitter your smoothie will be without the banana. (I squish it in because I always forget to add it until the end.)
Step 3: Blend
Step 4: Enjoy!
