Diet Progress

The last weigh in post I was coming it at 139 and I am pleased to say the results continue to be successful!

HCG is a safe quick weight loss program with proven results138.4!

At this rate I am averaging about a pound a day and I am losing weight fast!

Even though the pounds are currently falling off easily this phase of the HCG diet plan is fairly tough.  The amount of calories that I am allowed to consume each day total 500.  So, yes, I am hungry almost all day and no it is not unbearable.   My eating habits, after the first round of  HCG, never went back to  their extreme carb loving ways and the weight has stayed off!

Here is the following day weigh in:

The HCG diet weight loss plan is a great way to loose weight.

137.8!

Another day and another pound!  Wonderful success!

I am going to take this moment and let you know right now. My goal is NOT to loose another 10-13 pounds.  I am shooting for 135 on this round.  I enjoy the curves and I have never been Twiggy.

HCG diet and my weigh ins

I am dieting again.  Never an easy or enjoyable task and as promised on my Facebook page I will be blogging the results.  It helps you guys learn about the diet AND it keeps me accountable.  A two birds with one stone thing….

If you were around in January you may remember that I participated in the HCG diet with fantastic results.  I lost 13 pounds and kept most of them off!  I was 137 at the end date of the last round and during these last few months I fluctuated in a five pound range. Not too shabby.

I am now participating in my second round of the HCG diet.  Here was my first weigh in:

Results of HCG diet

Yup this was right after my vacation so I was up a bit but not as much as I will be after my two day food overload.  I am also going to take this moment to blame my vacation for the chipped off toe nail polish.

Following my two days of consuming massive amounts of food I gained a whooping three pounds! UGH. I was silently saying to myself “The miracle of HCG had better kick in because this is ridiculous.”

The results of one day on the 500 cal. Phase 2 diet were a success!

139.6 and would you check out my nail polish now….Blame the vacation. Anyways I dropped those five bad boys.

Now to all the nay-sayers out there, I know you don’t approve and I know what you are thinking so here is my response……I’m fine and I am not passing judgement on you so don’t start with me.

I am currently further along than these pictures but I am late in blogging the results so I will blog more tomorrow.  Too many feet shots are not healthy for anyone.

Bruschetta and Melba Toast recipe – It’s really good! I promise!

I have never enjoyed a no carb and no sugar diet. It always seems boring, meat filled, and just plain nasty. I typically crave bread endlessly, always want a sweet treat at the end of meal and feel unsatisfied if those two basic “needs” are unfulfilled.   Well, I am hear to tell you that I have almost moved past my hatred of no carb/sugar diets. I still don’t love them but I learned I need to be more inventive!

Here is a recipe by ME!  It is super good – No sugar – LOW carbs (Melba toast has a little bit-  I mean a puny amount)

Bruschetta on Melba Toast
3 ripe tomatoes
2 teaspoons of Basil
2 1/2 teaspoons of Olive Oil
3 garlic cloves minced (I LOVE garlic)
Kosher salt
1. Chop the tomatoes and mince the garlic and combine them in a mixing bowl
2. Add the Basil, Olive Oil – Stir and the Kosher salt for your taste.
 3. Spoon on Melba Toast and enjoy
This is NOT complicated at all and I am sure there are more ingredients you can add to the recipe.  I am just felt special that I thought of it for myself and it tasted sooo good. I ate the whole bowl, in one day.
Make it, Eat it, and Be Merry!

The final weigh in and giveaway!

Whew, I made it! Phase 2 of the HCG diet is complete!  I didn’t die and neither did the evil cake baker!  So after 21 days of 500 hundred calories my final weight for THIS stage is:

137.6
13 pounds in three weeks! Not bad.  Now, am I a little disappointed that it wasn’ t fifteen or twenty pounds?  A little bit BUT 13 pounds ain’t bad and I KNOW I have lost some major inches.  My BMI is back in the normal weight range and in all honestly, I look good.  I still have curves and I really enjoy them. So does the evil cake baker.  The other bonus of this diet was my face completely cleared up!  Acne isn’t a major problem for me but it was enough to bother me from time to time.  I have had no break outs and my skin seems to have healed.
I am now going to show you a HORRIBLE picture of me.  It is extremely myspace-esque.  I had to take it by myself because my husband was at work and my five year old kept taking pictures of my feet or my calves etc.  So it invloves a mirror and a shower curtain. I’m sorry.
There is a side profile!  I am not sucking in and those pants are a size 8!  The waist fits perfectly and I actually have some room in those pants!  Two weeks ago eh, heck 5 days ago those pants did not fit!
I am now moving onto Phase 3, the maintenance level.  I can eat almost everything and  I am not allowed to have any sugar or carbs.  I am fine with that because I can have fruit again!  I will be posting weigh ins on Phase 3 but not as frequently.  I am supposed to still loose weight during this phase but I am not going to post it every 2/3 days.
NOW:  If you will notice I have a wonderful Giveaway going on right now.  It is for a vinyl saying for your home from Two Chicks and a Vinyl Cutter…Here is an example of mine.
Go check out the giveaway and enter and try to get some awesome saying for your home.  I adore mine!  Just click on my giveaway link.

How NOT to cut a little boys hair and the weight check in

My son’s hair was getting long. Crazy, hippy long.  He doesn’t like it really short so we allow him to have it shaggy so that haircuts are at their minimum.  Well, last night I had enough of the hair.  I found my trusty hair cutting scissors and went to work on his poor little head. It was only this morning that I could really see the aftermath of my work.

Poor guy.   I was so into it last night. Scissors and hair were flying and I was thinking to myself, “I am pretty good. We will go to church and everyone will love his haircut. Who needs Great Clips.”  WE DO.  His bangs are lopsided.

See?! Really short.  Just another item he can add to his list for his therapist.

Here is the weigh in of this morning….

 138.2!!!
Doing a little happy dance today.  I will tell you right now that I am looking forward to my next phase starting this next week. I am ready to eat more food!  So the amount lost now is 12 lbs!

Travelers from the Mrs. AND new weight

First things first:
www.becominghomegrown.com is operating!   If you are traveling here from the Mrs. please type in the  Becoming Homegrown in your browser (or click that link) and then you can become a follower!  For some reason the in transit forwarding is not working with my followers!

Second -

Another weigh in this morning and the picture is blurry, upside, and well just a bad photo.

139.6!
I finally broke the 140 mark!  Although, this morning, I looked at the scale and told it if it said 140 again it would find itself in the trash or flying out the window.  No joke, its life was at stake.
Even though the 140 mark has been broken I am having an apple day.  Six apples and water and tea.  DON’T FREAK OUT  to everyone that is currently freaking out.  I am A-OKAY and I am not starving myself to death.  I am trying to get the sodium and extra water weight to go away.
I like those nice comments that everyone has been leaving me! It really cheered me up the other day!

My husband is baking a cake and I want to punch him for it

That’s right, I want to punch him.  The man rarely bakes and in the last week, since I have started this diet, he has baked TWO.  Two cakes – Marble Fudge Cakes with Chocolate frosting.  SERIOUSLY!  My house smells like freakin bakery right now.

Here is what everyone is waiting for:

142.2!
YA! In seven days I have dropped eight pounds! Boo Ya! My jeans are loose and I LOVE it!  I haven’t cheated once, even with the evil cake baker living here.
Alrighty, I am off to punch my husband, play some Dance Central and try to figure out a pretty Valentines day craft.  Maybe I will just blog hop and take some Valentines Day craft lessons from those of you that are far more talented.
